METHODOLOGY

Bicycle Express wanted to bring coffee to their city store, so we set about designing a clever little bar that could service their patrons during open hours and double up as a laneway “hole in the wall” outlet. We achieved this by adding internal tilt windows that open and close with the bike shop hours. In keeping with the original plywood theme we designed a plywood bar inspired by the old childrens building game - meccano.
